Comments about BlueWater Ropes Inc 6 mm Perlon Cord Accessory Cord:

The rope is too stiff for prusiks, which is what I imagine most people use 6 mm cord for. It is also black, which makes knots hard to see.

Comments about BlueWater Ropes Inc 6 mm Perlon Cord Accessory Cord:

I bought some of this for Prusiks - it was awful, far too stiff. Sterling cord is much softer, which makes for smoother autoblock rappel backups and easier ascending with friction knots.

But, I remembered it when I wanted a tagline for making full-length rappels. A retrieval line is much lighter than a second rope, but has the tendency to get stuck. This stiff cord is much better in that regard, and is very durable.

Comments about BlueWater Ropes Inc 6 mm Perlon Cord Accessory Cord:

I was thoroughly disappointed with your perlon. All the sizes are all the same color-black-yuck! That makes it tough to make quick grabs and they really soak up the rays--not good. They are slippery too which does not make them the best for prussiks. [...]
