Comments about Yaktrax, Inc. Yaktrax Walker:

These basic Yaktrax work wonders strolling icy sidewalks around town. However, if there's much snow or you plan on using them on icy trails I would buy the Yaktrax with straps as these ones have a tendency to get pulled off by snow and use on trails.

These are great for walking on slippery pavement and trails. I use them all of the time and have not slipped at all. They do not replace microspikes or crampons-they are one step below.

Comments about Yaktrax, Inc. Yaktrax Walker:

I have had these for two years now and I am glad I bought them. They are relatively easy to put on, they might be a little tough for some people because the rubber has to be pulled around the shoe like an elastic band but once they are on they are great. I use them for when I don't want to slip do to ice on the ground. Also I found them to help give a little more traction when walking in snow especially walking up slippery snow covered hills. The only down side I encountered is that when walking for a while in the snow or running they sometimes shift on the boot but I readjust them and they are good to go again. Overall I would recommened these to people of all ages and I would buy them again, I even bought a pair for my 10 year old daughter and she loves them too.

I carry a set of these everywhere I go during winter. They give confidence anywhwere I need to go on icy surfaces. They are not a crampon, but they are not meant to be.

anyone with ANY concerns about their knees, ankles, or hips should wear these if they walk on even slightly slippery surfaces. I'm a youngin' with slightly damaged knees, and using these religiously may keep me from having to have surgery.

Comments about Yaktrax, Inc. Yaktrax Walker:

I purchased this product for a mile and a half walk to work. I have had them for less than one month, and they have snapped. I do not feel that a quality product should do this. Not to mention that they do not really help all that much when they weren't broken. On just ice, they don't do anything, and heavy snow, they don't do anything. They are semi-helpfull on light snow. They do not by any means live up to their advertisement. I personally do not reccomend anyone purchase this product.
