Comments about The North Face Base Camp Duffel:

The design hasn't changed in over 25 years and my original 25 year old BC duffels are still intact and going strong. Back then I had to treat the exposed stitching and bottom of the duffel with SeamGrip polyurethane coating for extra waterproofing and abrasive protection. Now the duffels are made of a newer precoated fabric that is ready to use as sold and should last another 25 years.

I purchased this duffle for extended trips. It travels well in airports, small bush planes and on the back of a pack animal. Very durable duffle. The zipper opening make for easy access because it opens like a lid, not down the middle of the bag, like most duffle bags

Comments about The North Face Base Camp Duffel:

I have experimented with both the large and x-large north face duffels. The x-large by far holds way more, although I had difficulty maneuvering it on my last trip, as it's heavy and large when packed. I know, it's my packing skills, but it eliminates the usefulness of the back straps when you can't lift it into that position:) The large size is much more user friendly for my purposes.

I have a bunch of these in different sizes. Tough, well built, if they get a little wet your stuff stays dry. When flying, they work well for climbing gear and camping gear. The backpack straps makes lugging through airports much easier.

Comments about The North Face Base Camp Duffel:

I absolutely love the TNF Base Camp Duffle. I have used one many times in the BWCA and also with family, Boy Scout, and air travel. This rugged bag holds a ton of gear and is very comfortable to hike around to camps or through the airport terminal. This is a MUST HAVE bag for any adventurer.
